I replaced the spring that went on the shaft for the servo that is held on via e-clip.īased on my knowledge of how this thing works. So I called the place I got the kit from and he told me to use what was in the bag even if it was a different color. The kit included a corvette servo and there were some conflicting instructions on the bags of o-rings as to what went where. that assembly spun free after snapring install. (upgrade to the 8 friction clutch pack) So they sent me out thinner plates and I mixed and match with the thicker to ensure the pack set at snap ring height before the 5 outer dual spring plates went in. The 3-4 pack I had some issues with because they sent me the wrong steels for it. When it gets going fast enough it will grab 3rd but not overdrive.ĭuring the rebuild all of the teflon seals went on and were resized just fine. When it goes to shift into 2nd it will just rev and not engage. I have put it in the truck and taken it out for a drive.ġst gear seems to work fine, so does reverse. The torque converter was rebuilt to stock stall speed. In addition to the kit, I replaced the reverse input drum (what the band rides on) and pressure switch. I also added the front and rear 5 pinion planetaries, stock capacity pan with drain plug. I just rebuilt my high mileage 4L60E and threw some 4L65E parts at it.
